Positive Complementarianism - Men & Women
In September 2025 we had a short thematic sermon series on men and women in the Bible, including their roles in the church. Click below on the recordings and documents that are most relevant to you. The "dig deeper" document from the first session (on "equal and different") points to a number of resources on this topic.
For a short definition, "Complementarianism", from a biblical perspective, is the idea that men and women have an equal dignity and worth in God's eyes and in his image, and yet have differences that play out in terms of leadership and Bible teaching roles in the church. "Egalitarianism" is the idea that there are no restrictions on the roles that men and women can take in the church (or home).
